Tonight was the award's night for Upward Basketball & Cheerleading. Here are the pictures that we received. The speaker tonight traveled all over the world playing basketball and talked about how he always wanted to be so good at sports. He said his main focus was to be better than anyone else and he was always chasing after something, whether it be basketball or soccer or a new this or that. Eventually that would wear off. Even after reaching the dream of being able to play in other countries, he still wanted something more. Even after having new "things" in his life, when he got those things he wanted more, until he found Jesus. When that happened, he said that he found what he was needing and something that constantly fulfilled him and has never wore off! This is sooooo true! Upward is a program that first teaches self-esteem, character and who Jesus Christ is, then the sport itself. This was my second year coaching and Yusef's third year. Enjoy the pictures!
